Outer Stem Alignment

Left outer's top aligns with the tallest inner bar's top. Right outer's bottom aligns with the lowest inner bar's bottom. The diagonal tension is intrinsic — it responds to the inner state.

M Guard (V-depth floor)

Prevents the mark from flattening into an H. Both center bars (2, 3) must dip at least this many pixels below whichever pair-A bar (1 or 4) is currently taller. Cross-pair enforcement keeps the V basin symmetric even when pair A is desynced.
